Explanation

On 11th August 1947 Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was elected as the President of the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan.

The first session of the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan was held on 10th August 1947 at the Sindh Assembly Building in Karachi.

Liaquat Ali Khan headed after the death of Jinnah for three years and produced the Objectives Resolution.

After Pakistan's first ever general elections the 1973 Constitution was created by an elected Parliament.

The Constitution declared Pakistan an Islamic Republic and Islam as the state religion.

The 1973 Constitution recognizes Urdu as Pakistan's only national language.

1973 Constitution contained 280 articles, 07 schedules and 12 chapters with Objective Resolution.

Explanation

After nine years of efforts, Pakistan successfully framed a constitution.

The Constituent Assembly adopted it on February 29, 1956.

The constitution consisted of 234 articles divided into 13 parts and 6 schedules.

On March 23, 1956, Pakistan was proclaimed an Islamic republic, officially renaming itself the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

March 23rd became Pakistan's Republic Day.
