اَلنَّبِىُّ اَوْلٰى بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ مِنْ اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَاَزْوَاجُهٗۤ اُمَّهٰتُهُمْ ۗ وَاُولُوا الْاَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ اَوْلٰى بِبَعْضٍ فِىْ كِتٰبِ اللّٰهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُهٰجِرِيْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ تَفْعَلُوْۤا اِلٰۤى اَوْلِيٰۤٮِٕكُمْ مَّعْرُوْفًا ۗ كَانَ ذٰ لِكَ فِى الْكِتٰبِ مَسْطُوْرًا

Explanation

The revelation to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) began in 610 CE when he received the first verses of the Quran in the cave of Hira.

It continued for 23 years until his passing in 632 CE, covering both the Meccan (13 years) and Madinan (10 years) periods.
