Reasons of delay
Might have been delayed due to various reasons, including the time required for counting votes, resolving disputes, logistical challenges in collecting and tallying results from various regions
Elections were held in eleven provinces - Madras, Central Provinces, Bihar, Orissa, United Provinces, Bombay Presidency, Assam, NWFP, Bengal, Punjab and Sindh.
