Islamic Declaration of Incest
When someone declared his wife just as the relation of maharmaat, that act is called.
Overview
When someone declares their wife as just like the relation of mahramaat, that act is called Zihar. Zihar is an ancient Arabian practice that pre-dates Islam, in which a man would declare his wife to be like his mother's back, thereby rendering her forbidden to him. The Qur'an explicitly condemns Zihar in Surah Al-Mujadila (58:2-4), and prescribes a punishment for those who engage in this practice.
In Islamic law, Zihar is considered a form of oath, which can have significant consequences for the couple's relationship. The punishment for Zihar involves a fine or penance, which serves as a deterrent against making such declarations. The concept of Zihar highlights the importance of treating one's spouse with respect, kindness, and compassion, while also recognizing the sacred nature of the marital relationship. By prohibiting Zihar, Islam promotes a culture of love, respect, and dignity within marriage.
