A solution of water and sugar contains 10% sugar the solution weight is 8kg when 2kg of water is added to this solution the percentage of sugar becomes?
Answer: 8%
Explanation
Total weight of solution is 8 kg
Sugar % = 10%
Mass of sugar = 10 % 0f 8 = 0.8
Amount of water = Total weight of solution – Mass of sugar
Amount of water = 8 kg – 0.8 kg
Amount of water = 7.2 kg
Now 2 kg is added to the solution
So, new amount of solution = 8 kg +2 kg = 10 kg
So, the percentage of sugar becomes= 0.8/10 x 100% = 8%
