The Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) is a water-distribution treaty between India and Pakistan.

It was signed in Karachi on 19 September 1960

Sighed by:

• Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru 
•  Pakistani President Ayub Khan.

The Treaty allocates the 3 Western Rivers to Pakistan

1.  Indus
2. Jhelum
3. Chenab  

the 3 Eastern Rivers  to India

1. Sutlej
2. Beas
3. Ravi
