Explanation

Cabinet Mission and it was headed by Lord Pethick Lawrence.

The Cabinet mission arrived in India on March 24, 1946, sent by the British government.

The Cabinet Mission was formed at the initiative of British Prime Minister Clement Atlee

The mission had three British cabinet members:
1. Pethick Lawrence
2. Stafford Cripps
3. A.V. Alexander

The Cabinet Mission`s aim was to discuss the transfer of power from British to Indian leadership.
