Explanation

The Simla Agreement was signed on July 2, 1972.

In between Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Pakistani President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

It established the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir and facilitated the repatriation of prisoners of war and the return of occupied territories.
