The Shimla Agreement was signed on July 2, 1972.

The Simla Agreement was signed by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, from India and President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto from Pakistan.

This agreement followed the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and led to the establishment of principles that aimed to normalize relations between the two countries.
