Explanation

 Houbara bustards are hunted for both sport and their meat, which is believed to have aphrodisiac qualities. 

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has placed the Houbara bustard on its "red list" of threatened species, indicating a high risk of extinction. 

Estimates say there are between 50,000 and 100,000 Houbara bustards left.
