Garbiñe Muguruza defeated Venus Williams in the final, 7–5, 6–0 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 2017 Wimbledon Championships.

It was her first Wimbledon title, and second and last major singles title overall.

It was held at the All England Club in London.

The player with the most titles is Martina Navratilova with nine (1978, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1990).
