Explanation

The SPHEREx mission stands for Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization, and Ices Explorer.

Its main goal is to study the early universe by observing the distribution of galaxies and searching for water ice and other molecules crucial for life. 

It will create a 3D map of the cosmos in 102 different color bands
