Explanation

The Central Asian Republics (including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) joined the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in 1992.

This expansion occurred after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, significantly broadening ECO's regional scope.
