Queen Elizabeth I ruled England and Ireland from 1558 to 1603.

Elizabeth I was the daughter of King Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn.

She never married and was known as the "Virgin Queen."

During her reign, Elizabeth I defeated the Spanish Armada in 1588.
