Purpose of the ummah was to be based on religion by following the commands of God, rather than kinship.

Ummah is meant to transcend national, racial, and class divisions to unite all Muslims.

The last prophet in Islam is Muhammad ibn Abdullah, whom Muslims believe to be the "Seal of the Prophets"
