"Umm-ul-Momineen" (أم ٱلْمُؤْمِنِين‎) is an Arabic phrase meaning "Mothers of the Believers."

It is a title given to the wives of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad SAW as a sign of respect.

The title is derived from verse 33:6 of the Quran.

Muslims use this title before or after referring to these women.
