Imam Malik ibn Anas compiled the "Muwatta", the earliest written collection of Hadith and Islamic law.

It was organized to serve as a practical legal manual during his time in Medina.

Kitaab-ul-Aathaar is one of the earlier Hadith book compiled by Imam Muhammad al-Shaybani (132 AH – 189 AH), the student of Imam Abu Hanifa.
