The conquest of Mecca by Muslims, led by Prophet Muhammad SAW, occurred in December 629 or January 630 AD (Julian), 20 Ramadan, 8 AH.
The Prophet SAW entered Mecca on his favorite camel, Al-Kaswa, with Usama Ibn Zaid (R.A.) sitting behind him.
On his way, he recited Surah Al-Fatha (48th Surah of the Quran).
