Explanation

Poona Pact was signed by Madan Mohan Malviya on behalf of Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar at Yerwada Central Jail in Pune on September 24, 1932.

It was signed during the time of Lord Willington.

The Poona Pact refers to the agreement signed in 1932 to provide the depressed classes with the reservation of the electoral seats in the British Indian Parliament.
