Faisal Mosque of Pakistan was opened to the public in 1986

**

It was built by a Saudi King named King Faisal who gifted it in recognition of friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

On 18th June 1988, the first prayer  was held in the Faisal mosque

**

The Faisal Mosque is the largest in Pakistan,

located in the national capital city of Islamabad.

Completed in 1986,

it was designed by Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay
