 Cabinet Mission broadcast its plan from New Delhi on May 16, 1946.

They arrived in India on March 24, 1946, sent by the British government.

The Mission was headed by Lord Pethick Lawrence.

The mission had three British cabinet members:

The Cabinet Mission aimed to discuss the transfer of power from British to Indian leadership.
