During Shah Jahan's reign, the Mughal Empire was divided into 22 provinces for administrative control.

These provinces were established to improve governance and tax collection across the empire.

Shah Jahan's real name was Shahab-ud-Din Muhammad Khurram.

He built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
