• Gwadar became a part of Pakistan on September 7, 1958, under the Prime Ministership of Feroze Khan Noon.
• The Gwadar Purchase was the acquisition of the territory of Gwadar by Pakistan from the Sultanate of Oman in 1958.
• after long negotiations, duly assisted by the UK government, Oman agreed to hand over Gwadar to Pakistan against a payment of $3 million.
• The payment was mostly made by Aga Khan IV.
