Explanation

The revelation of the Quran began through Wahi—a direct communication from Allah to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) via Angel Jibreel (Gabriel).

The first revealed verses were from Surah Al-Alaq, starting with "Iqra’ bismi Rabbika..." (Read in the name of your Lord).
