According to the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN), the voter turnout in the February 8, 2024 general elections was 47.6%, a decrease from 52.1% in 2018.

Despite the percentage drop, the absolute number of voters increased, with approximately 60.6 million people casting their votes, compared to 54.8 million in 2018.

The decline in turnout percentage is attributed to a significant increase in the number of registered voters, which rose from 106 million in 2018 to 128.6 million in 2024.
