Explanation

In February 2025, the federal government of Pakistan merged the Ministry of Aviation into the Ministry of Defence as part of a rightsizing initiative aimed at reducing state expenditures and improving efficiency. 

This restructuring led to the abolition of the standalone Ministry of Aviation, with its functions and responsibilities now falling under the purview of the Ministry of Defence.
