Under Article 24, the State Bank of Pakistan has the sole right to issue banknotes. The National Bank of Pakistan introduced the first urgent issue at face value of 5, 10, 100 rupees. It was printed by De La Rue & Company Great Britain and published between 1948 and 1960.
