Explanation

Partition of Bengal was announced on 19 July 1905 by Lord Curzon, the then Viceroy of India

The Hindu, Christian, Anglo-Indian, Parsi, and Sikh communities were largely opposed to the partition of India (and its underlying two-nation theory),

as were many Muslims (these were represented by the All India Azad Muslim Conference)

The Hindu community strongly opposed the partition of Bengal

In December 1911, King George V at his Coronation Darbar in Delhi announced the revocation of the Partition of Bengal.
