Explanation

South Korea, the US and Japan have launched their first trilateral multi-sectoral exercise named Freedom Edge 2024.

The exercise will be held at Jeju Island in South Korea. 

The exercise aims to increase security against threats posed by North Korea.

This exercise now will be held every year.

Jeju Island is the largest island in South Korea with an area of 1,833 square km
