The world health organization (WHO) declared Pakistan a Trachoma-free country.

Pakistan has become the 19th country globally to reach this historic milestone.

In this context, Dr. Luo Dapeng, head of the WHO mission in Pakistan, presented a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Declared in October 2024.
