Explanation

Waseem Mukhtar has been the Chairman of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) since August 10, 2023.

Mukhtar has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology in Lahore.

NEPRA is responsible for regulating the provision of electric power services in Pakistan.

The chairman is appointed by the Federal Government and there are four members from each of the four provinces of Pakistan.
