Junagadh was a princely state that decided to accede to Pakistan in 1947.

This led to a major dispute between India and Pakistan.

On September 14, 1947, Nawab Mahabat Khan of Junagadh signed the Instrument of Accession, declaring Junagadh as part of Pakistan.

The dispute ultimately resulted in India's annexation of the state.
