Section 5 clause ( j ) defines Deputy Chairman

“Deputy Chairman National Accountability Bureau” means the person appointed as Deputy Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau by the President

The Deputy Chairman [NAB] shall hold office for a [non-extendable] period of three years

and shall not be removed except on the ground of misconduct as defined in subrule (4) of rule 2 of the Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973.]

Explanation

"Judge" means the presiding officer of a civil Court

Section 5(g) of the National Accountability Bureau Ordinance, 1999 stipulates that :

a Judge of the Accountability Court shall be appointed by the President of Pakistan,

in consultation with the Chief Justice of the High Court concerned,

and shall hold office for a period of three years.

As per section 16-B, of NAB Ordinance, 1999

the court shall have the power to punish for contempt of court the imprisonment for a term which may extend:

 6 months

and with a fine that may extend to one Million rupees

Explanation

NATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY ORDINANCE ORDINANCE NO.XVIII OF 1999

It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect on the first day of January 1985.
